The New Hampshire Bar Foundation expresses its thanks and appreciation to Attorney Pattie Blanchette of Portsmouth, who completed her second five-year term on the Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Committee in FY 2007. To fill the open slot on the committee, nominations will be accepted through June 29, 2007. If more than one person is nominated, a ballot will be mailed July 13, 2007, to every participant of the IOLTA Program. The five-member IOLTA Grants Committee meets twice a year. The Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Program is a competitive grant process that provides funding to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations that provide civil legal services to the disadvantaged, law-related education, and other projects approved by the NH Supreme Court. For the fiscal year 2008 grant cycle (6/1/07-5/31/08), $1.73 million was awarded to 12 of the 18 organizations/programs that applied for funding.
