Bar Foundation News: IOLTA Grants Committee Seeks Nominations
By: Susan Noon
There is one five-year term open on the NH Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Committee beginning this year. Attorneys who participate in the IOLTA Program may nominate themselves or other attorneys. Nominations will be accepted through June 29, 2007. If more than one person is nominated, a ballot will be mailed July 13, 2007, to every participant of the IOLTA Program. If you do not receive a ballot and believe you should, please contact Mary White at the NH Bar Foundation via email at: mwhite@nhbarfoundation.org.
The Bar Foundation’s Funding Principles and nomination form may be downloaded from the Bar Foundation Web site at: http://www.nhbarfoundation.org/IOLTA.php. The form may also be clipped from Bar News and mailed or faxed (224-2910) to the NH Bar Foundation. A brief biography and statement of interest from the nominee, plus a headshot, must be included. Images may be emailed to: snoon@nhbarfoundation.org.
The IOLTA Grants Committee meets in February and April each year. The Committee reviews IOLTA Grant applications submitted in a competitive grant process open to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations that provide civil legal services to the disadvantaged, fund law-related education, and other projects approved by the NH Supreme Court. The IOLTA Grants Committee makes funding recommendations to the Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors. For additional information, contact Susan Noon, program and communications director, at 715-3253.
