Bar Foundation Board Welcomes Mary Susan Leahy

The appointment of Attorney Mary Susan Leahy to the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation was recently announced by Russell F. Hilliard, chair of the Board.
Attorney Leahy’s distinguished career includes a significant role in the establishment of New Hampshire’s IOLTA Program in 1982, which is integral to the Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Program,” says David G. Snyder, executive director of the Bar Foundation. “I am looking forward to working with her and pleased to add her experience and expertise to the Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors.”
Listed twice as One of New Hampshire’s Ten Most Powerful Women by NH Editions Magazine (1996 & 1998), Leahy is an estate planning and trust attorney at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., in Concord. In addition to advising on personal estate and tax planning issues, she also advises clients on business succession planning, having spent many years as a transactional business lawyer.
Upon graduation from Boston University School of Law, Leahy served as a Law Clerk for the NH Supreme Court (1970-1971). In 1971, she joined the law firm of Orr & Reno, where she practiced for twenty-five years. In 2006, Leahy joined the McLane firm. In to her law practice, Leahy also serves as a professional trustee of many private trusts and counsels charitable foundations and other tax-exempt organizations.
