Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers Meetings
Support is available in two forms for lawyers, judges and others in the legal community who may have substance abuse issues.
There is the Lawyers Assistance Program, created by the Supreme Court earlier this year to provide an independent and confidential resource for impaired lawyers, judges and law students. To find out more, visit www.lapnh.org.
Also, there is Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL), a voluntary self-help organization that meets monthly to provide informal support and help. LCL, an organization that has been in existence for a number of years, can be reached by contacting the NHLAP at 603-545-8967.
LCL meets for dinner monthly on the second Tuesday of each month, except in January and April when the meeting is on the third Tuesday. The meetings take place at the Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Road, Bedford. The meetings start at 6 p.m. No RSVPs are necessary. LCL does not meet in July or August.
LCL meetings for the coming year are:

Correction: An incorrect phone number was published in the page one box for the NH Lawyers Assistance Program, created by Supreme Court Rule 58. The correct number for the NHLAP, reachable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is 877-224-6060.
