Ann McLane Kuster, Angel in Adoption
Ann McLane Kuster, an attorney with Rath, Young and Pignatelli in Concord and a NH Bar member since 1984 was recently recognized at a congressional event in Washington, D.C. where she was presented with the title of 2007 Angel in Adoption for her advocacy of adoption issues. The Angels in Adoption program is the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s signature campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of the US Congress to honor the good work of their constituents.

Joseph Foster, 2007 BIA Friend of Business Award
State Senator Joseph Foster was recently awarded the 2007 BIA Friend of Business Award by the Business and Industry Association. Foster, an attorney with McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton in Manchester and a NH Bar member since 1984, was recognized for his “leadership and dedication to New Hampshire’s business community.” Foster recently won passage of a research development tax credit, which came from the Senate Bill 134 that he authored. |

David Gottesman, Lawmaker of the Year
The American Cancer Society has named Senator David Gottesman Lawmaker of the Year for his efforts to make bars and restaurants smoke-free in New Hampshire. Gottesman, of Gottesman and Hollis in Nashua and a NH Bar member since 1973, was a prime sponsor of Senate Bill 42, which banned smoking in restaurants and bars this year.

James Reidy, Deal or No Deal Presentation
Sheehan Phinney (Manchester) attorney James P. Reidy will perform at the New Hampshire Association of Counties 2007 Annual Conference. Reidy will present his popular spoof of the hit TV show, “Deal or No Deal” with an employment law update and skills quiz entitled “Generational Differences: Deal or No Deal.” Reidy has been a member of the NH Bar since 1989. |

Kathi L. Guay, PRIA Board of Directors
Kathi L. Guay, CPO, Register of Deeds of Merrimack County was recently re-elected to the board of directors for the Property Records Industry Association and serves as co-chair of the Business Process and Procedures committee. Guay is the current president of the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks. |
