The Grappone Conference Center in Concord was the site of the Fifth Anniversary Celebration of the Spirit of New Hampshire Awards on Nov. 7, 2007, where attorney Paul S. Moore, of Bedford, was presented with a "Spirit of New Hampshire" Award in the Volunteer Service category.
Over 275 people gathered to honor outstanding contributions to volunteerism in the state. The event is hosted annually by Volunteer NH!, in collaboration with the office of Governor John Lynch. Gov. Lynch presented 14 awards to NH citizens of all ages and from all regions of the state.
Moore, an attorney in Nashua and a Special Justice of the Milford District Court, was given the award in recognition of his commitment to the disabled, to veterans, and to servicemen and women, as well as for his pro bono work on behalf of a number of churches serving the greater Nashua area.
Moore was recognized for his work with veterans throughout New Hampshire through his role as co-founder of MooreMart, a non-profit organization that has shipped over 10,000 care packages to troops serving in the Middle East, and a variety of other community services.
