Bar News - January 18, 2008 Lawyers in the Community Christine Gordon, Easter Seals
Christine Gordon, a partner at Wadleigh, Starr and Peters in Manchester, was recently appointed to the board of directors of Easter Seals New Hampshire. Attorney Gordon has been a member of the Easter Seals Planning Committee for over a year. She has been a NH Bar member since 1993. Scott W. Ellison, a shareholder at the Manchester firm, Devine Millimet, was elected to serve as chair of the board of trustees of the Greater Manchester Family YMCA at its annual meeting on December 6, 2007, for a term ending December, 2009. Ellison has served on the board of trustees of the YMCA since 2002 and previously served as vice-chair, chair of its Diversity Committee, and chair of its Executive Performance and Compensation Committee. Ellison joined the NH Bar in 1994. Elaine Michaud, Manchester Mental Health Foundation Elaine Michaud, a shareholder in the Manchester firm, Devine Millimet, was recently elected to the board of directors of the Manchester Mental Health Foundation and the board of the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester. The Center is a private, nonprofit charitable organization providing comprehensive leading edge mental health services. Michaud has been a NH Bar member since 1993. Newton H. Kershaw, Jr., Moore Center Services, Inc. Newton H. Kershaw, Jr., a shareholder of Manchester Firm, Devine Millimet, has recently been elected chairman of the board of Moore Center Services, Inc. The Moore Center, founded in 1960 by a small group of parents who came together to support one another and their families, has grown over the years into a large, private, nonprofit organization to empower and support individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders. Kershaw has been a NH Bar member since 1974. Helen Honorow, of Barry & Honorow, was recently named as a public member to the NH Board of Education. She has been a NH Bar member since 1989. Thomas P. Manson, The Derryfield School Thomas P. Manson, a founding partner of Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Manson, was recently elected to the Derryfield School’s board of trustees. Manson has been a New Hampshire Bar member since 1984. |
