2008 NHBA Vice President Candidates: Marilyn McNamara, Jennifer Parent

| Marilyn B. McNamara, currently a governor-at-large, and Jennifer L. Parent, completing her second term as county governor for Hillsborough–North, are contenders for the position of NH Bar Association vice president for the 2008-09 year.
McNamara, director of the Legal Advice and Referral Center in Concord, is a graduate of Franklin Pierce Law Center and has been a member of the NH Bar since 1977. Parent is a director in the litigation department at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton in Manchester; a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, and a Bar member since 1995.
Parent, 2003 recipient of the Robert E. Kirby award, is a past president of the NH Women’s Bar Association, and has been active in several Bar committees and projects.
McNamara has served on the Board of Governors several times over the past 30 years and has served on the Judicial Council and the Judicial Selection Commission; and served on various Bar committees.
The March 21 issue of Bar News will include more information on the entire slate of Board of Governors candidates.
Ballots for the 2008 NHBA election will be mailed to all active members in mid-March. Ballots must be mailed or delivered to the Bar Center by the close of business on Tuesday, April 15.
