Rule 170 Update – Office of Mediation and Arbitration
From the Director, Karen Borgstrom:
Sign ups for the New Rule 170 program continue to be strong, and we are still accepting applications. We have received a total of 159 on the volunteer list, and 110 on the paid list from the existing Roster of ADR professionals. Some participants have signed up for both lists.
If you have already signed up to be part of the program, but you have not yet signed up for a free 8-hour refresher training program, please contact the Office of Mediation and Arbitration Ltroy@courts.state.nh.us to sign up. You will receive CLE credit for this training. Dates for the refresher trainings in Concord are as follows: October 15, November 19 or December 3, 2008.
For those of you who have not been a part of this program, we encourage you to check out our website and sign-up. You will need to participate in a 3-day, 20-hour training at a cost of $275.00 for which you will receive CLE credits. Dates/locations for the trainings are as follows:

The rostering fee to become a paid Rule 170 Neutral is $350.00, annually to support the Office of Mediation and Arbitration. Volunteers do not have to pay the rostering fee, but parties will be asked to pay $50.00 which also goes to support the Office of Mediation and Arbitration programs. (Courts have discretion to waive this fee for indigent parties)
