NH Women’s Bar Holds Election; Group Plans Fall Reception
Kristen A. Mendoza is the new president and Holly J. Kilibarda is vice president.
The NHWBA Annual Fall Reception will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at The Centennial Inn in Concord from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Marilla M. Ricker Achievement Award, given annually to a woman lawyer who has achieved professional excellence, advanced opportunities for women in the legal profession or performed exemplary public service on behalf of women. In 1890, Ricker successfully petitioned the court to be the first woman to be admitted to the New Hampshire Bar Association. A long time advocate for women’s suffrage and other causes, Ricker also ran for governor in 1910.
All attorneys are encouraged to come to this social and networking event. No RSVPs necessary. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
