Our section wants to familiarize New Hampshire practitioners with the unique issues and rules of law applicable to active duty service personnel and veterans in a wide variety of civil law matters. Our goal is to assist New Hampshire lawyers to better serve the legal needs of those who serve our country. The issues to be discussed at the seminar concern family law, estate and asset planning, real estate finance, civil litigation, employment law, health care, various veterans’ benefit programs, and recently enacted Federal legislation. As the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq continue, these issues will affect an increasing number of people--not just active duty military personnel and veterans, but also their spouses, children, employers, creditors, lenders, etc.
September can be a busy time. Nevertheless, please consider attending. We have assembled an outstanding faculty which is experienced and knowledgeable. We often hear the admonition, "support our troops." Here is a positive means to do just that and, simultaneously, earn 6.0 CLE credit hours, including 0.5 Professional Responsibility credit hours!
I hope you will be able to join us on September 10th.
