The National Alliance on Mental Illness NH (NAMI NH) and New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) have been named the 2008 recipients of The Corporate Fund Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management. NAMI NH is a statewide, grassroots network of affiliate chapters and support groups, staff and volunteers that provide information, education and support to all families and communities affected by mental illness. NHLA is a nonprofit law firm offering legal services in civil matters to seniors and eligible low-income persons.
"Through this award program, we recognize that investing in a nonprofit’s infrastructure makes for a stronger organization better able to deliver on its mission. When nonprofits are stronger, the lives of all New Hampshire citizens are improved," said Jill H. Wurm of FairPoint Communications, chair of The Corporate Fund.
