At a special membership meeting on Nov. 3 at the Bar Center, NHBA members in attendance approved a number of amendments to the NHBA Constitution and Bylaws. The bylaws changes take effect immediately; the NHBA Constitutional amendments must be approved by the NH Supreme Court. A petition by the Bar seeking its approval for those changes has been delivered to the Court.
Perhaps the most significant change in the Constitution and Bylaws is the creation of a "Public Sector Governor" seat on the Board of Governors for an attorney employed by a public sector/public interest entity.
