RSA Chapter 519-B, which established the medical screening panels procedure, has been in operation for three years. The Chief Justice of the Superior Court will host a meeting of attorneys who are involved in representing plaintiffs and defendants in screening panel hearings. Senior and retired judges who serve as chairs of medical screening panels also are invited to attend.
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the appropriateness of assembling from those in attendance a smaller committee of lawyers and judges involved in screening panel hearings to draft proposed procedural rules that may help to make the screening panel process more efficient and cost effective. If you are an attorney who represents plaintiffs or defendants in medical injury actions, or a senior or retired judge who chairs medical screening panels, you are urged to attend this meeting.
The meeting will be held in the lower level Pillsbury Meeting Room at the New Hampshire Bar Center, 2 Pillsbury Street, Concord, on Thursday, Jan 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
