Marcia Schmidt Blaine, a history professor at Plymouth State University, brings a historian’s perspective on the role of women outside the home in 18th century northern New England as guest speaker at the Gender Equality Breakfast.
Blaine often uses public or government records to inform her research on the roles of women in social life.
Linda S. Paquette (Saunders) has been selected to be the recipient of the 2009 Hollman Award for Gender Equality. A Bar member and current Administrator for Continuing Improvement at the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Paquette is a former chair of the Gender Equality Committee and a leader in establishing the first 10-year survey of the status of women in the profession.
