Bar News - March 8, 2002 NH Bar's LawLine Honor Roll The Bar’s legal information telephone service, LawLine, could not happen without the hard work and support of the following law firms that for the past two years hosted at least two LawLine evenings at their offices, or provided coordination and last-minute volunteering. Michael Celenza (Michael Celenza) Cooper, Deans & Cargill (Paul Chant) Hebert & Uchida (Don Hebert) Manchester Bar Association (William Hewitt) Martin, Lord & Osman (Margaret Sullivan) Nixon, Peabody (Philip Taub) Normand & Shaughnessy (James Normand) Orr & Reno (Emily Rice, Brad Kuster) Tenn & Tenn Professional Association (Jim Tenn) Wescott, Millham & Dyer (John Giere) Many social-service agencies provide referrals to LawLine for callers who don’t know where else to turn. LawLine (1-800-868-1212), typically held on the second Wednesday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m., is ALWAYS in need of volunteers to take calls, or law offices to serve as host sites. Calls to the Bar’s toll-free number are temporarily forwarded for that evening to the host law firm’s phone number. Hosts assist with recruiting three to five attorneys (including attorneys from other law firms) to answer calls that night. Volunteering for LawLine is a limited commitment effort that provides a rewarding experience to the participants.
