Midyear Meeting Honorees Named
There’s still time to grab seats at the 2009 Midyear Meeting on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Radisson Hotel/Center of NH in Manchester for timely CLEs or to attend the Honors & Awards luncheon. Visit http://www.nhbar.org/about-the-bar/mym.asp for the full program slate, including a special forum on sentencing reform initiatives in NH. (It’s too late to pre-register. Contact Cheryl Moore at 603 715-3260 or at cmoore@nhbar.org to ask about availability for the luncheon or for specific CLEs.) At the very least, be sure to attend the free Member Reception at 5 p.m. at the Center. (Free appetizers, entertainment, and cash bar.)
At the luncheon, NHBA President Ellen L. Arnold will present the following awards:
Inaugural Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Law: NH Public Defender B. Randy Hawkes and James E. Fender, Legal Counsel, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Distinguished Service to the Public award: Carol Kunz, of Wiggin & Nourie
L. Jonathan Ross Award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services for the Poor: Richard Uchida of Orr & Reno
Donald E. Dufresne Professionalism award: Posthumous presentation to Graham P. Chynoweth, of Concord.
Pierce Law Dean John D. Hutson will be the luncheon guest speaker.
