More than a dozen members of the NHBA, including several members of the NHBA Board of Governors participated in a recent packing event for MooreMart, an organization that provides care packages for US troops overseas.
MooreMart, launched by Milford District Court Judge Paul Moore, a disabled Army veteran, and his sister Carol Moore Baggio, also sends supplies to orphanages and schools in the Middle East.
"MooreMart was able to pack and ship 110 children’s back packs filled with school supplies to Baghdad, Iraq, to be distributed to local Iraqi children by members of the New Hampshire National Guard, 10 containers of Humanitarian Aid to Iraq to be shared with a number of local orphanages and 610 care packages which were sent to members of the Armed Services serving in Iraq and Afghanistan," wrote Judge Moore, following a packing event in Nashua on Feb. 5 through Feb. 7.
To date, MooreMart has been able to send 19,744 care packages and over two tons of relief supplies to the Middle East due in large part to the generosity of the citizens of the state of New Hampshire, including the New Hampshire Bar Association, Moore added.
Moore said another packing event will take place at Daniel Webster College on the 28th, 29th and 30th of May.
