We the People: Project Citizen promotes competent and responsible participation in state and local government. It actively engages students in learning how to monitor and influence public policy. As a class project, students work together to identify and study an issue, eventually developing an action plan for implementing their policy. The final product is a portfolio displaying the group’s work.
The Annual State Showcase will be held this year on May 15 at the Legislative Office Building in Concord. The portfolio receiving the highest rating will go on to be evaluated at the National Showcase, held annually in conjunction with the National Conference of State Legislatures Legislative Summit.
Attorney volunteers are needed to judge the portfolios. If you would like to help in this worthy project, contact Robin E. Knippers, NHBA Law Related Education Coordinator, at 603-715-3259 or at reknippers@nhbar.org.
