Superior Court Thanks Merrimack Bar for Gift of Courtroom Equipment
Saluting Spirit of Legal Community
Editor’s Note: This letter was addressed to Thomas T. Barry, president of the Merrimack County Bar, thanking that bar association for its contributions towards purchasing and installing an electronic evidence presenter at Merrimack County Superior Court. (See article on page 19 of the Feb. 22 issue of Bar News.)
On behalf of the New Hampshire Superior Court, I am most pleased to take this opportunity to acknowledge the most generous contribution of the members of the Merrimack County Bar Association that arranged and paid for the technology that was recently installed in Courtroom 1 at Merrimack County Superior Court.
As I indicated on the occasion of the formal presentation last week, unfortunately many of the traditionally public-spirited contributions made by attorneys go both unrecognized and unappreciated by the general public, as well as by those who benefit most directly from the Bar’s spirit of community. I trust that such will not be the case in this instance.
It goes without saying that all the citizens of this state will benefit from the equipping of the courtroom with the latest in technological advances, surpassing that available in the U.S District Courthouse. As a result of the Bar’s extraordinary generosity, the presentation of evidence will be more well-organized and more easily understood, making the trial process less time-consuming and trial procedures more efficient.
Again, our sincerest gratitude to you and all who participated in the project.
Walter L. Murphy
Chief Justice, Superior Court
