Tribute Planned for Lex Loci Author Charles DeGrandpre
On Friday evening, June 26, prepare to be entertained as the NH Bar Association salutes Charles A. DeGrandpre for 40 years of lively and authoritative commentary on the decisions of the NH Supreme Court in the NH Bar Journal.
DeGrandpre will be presented with the NHBA Distinguished Service to the Profession award by NHBA President Ellen L. Arnold. Arnold is a former member of the McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton firm, where DeGrandpre has practiced his entire career. DeGrandpre, a NH native who grew up in Jaffrey, was admitted to the Bar in 1961.
DeGrandpre, who turns 73 in July, wrote his last Lex Loci column for the fall issue of the NH Bar Journal, and he is gradually winding down his practice. (See the spring 2009 edition of the NH Bar Journal – coming out soon for a Lex Loci retrospective.)
Be prepared for a special (but not long-winded) tribute to DeGrandpre.
