In Memoriam
Torsten H. Parke, Jr. Torsten H. Parke, Jr., formerly of Hingham, Massachusetts, died in February 2008, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 81.
Born in Chicago and raised in New Jersey, Parke attended Princeton University before earning his law degree from Virginia Law School. He also served in the US Navy during World War II and during the Korean Conflict.
From 1954 to 1961, he was a corporate attorney for the Flintkote Company in New York City; from 1961 to 1966 he was an associate at McConnell, Valdes & Kelley in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was a partner at Parke, Graves & Rodrigues in San Juan from 1966 to 1971. From 1973 to 1980 he returned to the Flintkote Company and served as Chief Counsel for the Genstar Building Materials Division in Dallas, Texas before entering private practice in Dallas in 1989.
He is survived by his sister, Marjorie and three nieces.
