Morning Mail: Billboards in the Courthouses?
I believe I have the solution to the ongoing budget crisis in our court system. The answer is this:
Advertising, sponsorships, endorsements! Consider the following:
Hillsborough North/Verizon Superior Court. The Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield Superior Court of Grafton County. Merrimack/Micro-soft Probate Court.
"This Clerk’s office is made available to the public by way of a generous contribution from Manchester Auto World!"
"Today’s Marital Master hearings are sponsored by Wal-Mart!"
Within each courtroom and waiting areas there would be space available for discreet and tasteful signs for Delta Dental, Loudon Raceway, Hannaford Brothers, etc. (I would not immediately advocate for an Adopt-a-Judge Program, but it might be something to look at for the future should the budget crisis persist....)
This method of obtaining additional income is so obvious I’m surprised...even ashamed...that no one has thought of it before....
