Bar News - October 16, 2009 Law Related Education: Volunteers Sought for We the People Competitions
A program of the Center for Civic Education and of the NH Bar Association, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a civic education program dedicated to promoting civic competence and responsibility among elementary and secondary students through an in-class curriculum, which culminates every year with a statewide competition in the form of a simulated congressional hearing. The top performing high school team will represent New Hampshire at the National Competition in Washington, D.C. This year’s competition dates are as follows: District Competition: Friday, December 12, 2009 All members are welcome to participate, but veteran judges are in particular demand.
