Temporary Relocation for Family Cases in Hillsborough South
Marital Master David Forrest, who is assigned to Hillsborough South Superior Court in Nashua every other month, will conduct Hillsborough South hearings on marital cases every other month at Milford District Court starting in January. The Hillsborough South hearings are being moved to Milford due to an anticipated shortage of available courtroom space during the 18-month temporary relocation of Hillsborough North to the Hillsborough South Superior Court courthouse in Nashua.
Chief Justice Robert J. Lynn expects that courtroom space in Nashua will be needed for one of the new Superior Court judges who were recently confirmed.
Judge Lynn said he recognized that hearing Nashua marital cases in Milford will cause some inconvenience for lawyers and litigants. He said however he is hopeful that the relocation will be limited to January, March and May of 2010 when Master Forrest is expected to move from Milford to the new Merrimack Courthouse, which is scheduled for completion in May.
