Bar News - November 13, 2009 Court Reporters are Required to be Licensed in NH New Hampshire statute, RSA 310-A:161-181 requires licensure of Court Reporters in New Hampshire. The New Hampshire licensed Court Reporter seal must be affixed on all transcripts, and reports prepared by the licensee. Failure to utilize a Court Reporter licensed in New Hampshire may result in a challenge of the validity of transcripts or reports prepared by an unlicensed individual. Please be aware of the following New Hampshire Statutes: RSA 310-A:168: Any person engaging in, offering to engage in, or appearing to engage in court reporting shall hold a valid license issued under this subdivision, designating the method by which the reporter is licensed to practice. Additionally RSA 310-A:176, I: Any person who shall practice or offer to practice as a licensed court reporter in this state for others without being licensed in accordance with this subdivision shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor if a natural person, or guilty of a felony if a business organization.
