Statistics on the Latest NH Bar Members Reflect Economy
At October and November swearing-in ceremonies, 112 members joined the New Hampshire Bar. Nine of these members joined on Oct. 8 and 103 joined Nov. 3 and 4. Of the 112 new members, 62 are men and 50 are women. Of the first group (Oct. 8), four were admitted by motion and five by passing the Bar exam. Of the second group, all 103 came in by Bar exam.
The following figures show a not uncommon distribution of employment, except that the number of those currently not practicing is high, no doubt reflecting the recent down-turn in the economy.

Four members are in the military: two are Marine lieutenants, one is a lieutenant in the Army and one is a lieutenant in the Navy JAG corps.
