In Memoriam: Homer O. Blair
 Homer O. Blair | Homer O. Blair, the first David Rines Professor of Intellectual Property Law and Industrial Innovation at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, passed away recently at the age of 84.
Blair earned his JD from the University of Washington School of Law in 1953. He was a strong proponent of international understanding of intellectual property law and was active in this regard with six United States’ delegations to the United Nations, on United States government committees, and also as a consultant to the United Nations.
He also worked in the patent departments of Westinghouse Electric, Boeing, Kaiser Aluminum and Celanese Corporation.
Blair is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Patty; sister-in-law, Jeanne; many nieces and nephews and other family members.
