Leadership Gifts Support Campaign for Legal Services
By: Celina Hurley
For nearly a decade the Campaign for Legal Services has been raising funds to support New Hampshire’s legal aid organizations: the Legal Advice & Referral Center, NH Legal Assistance, and the NH Bar Association’s Pro Bono Referral Program. These three organizations work collaboratively to provide free civil legal services to the poor and the elderly.
The commitment to equal justice for all demonstrated by the members of the NH Bar has been critical to the Campaign’s continued growth and success. Leadership support from firms across the Granite State enables the Campaign to meet annual campaign goals and even increase them each year.
The Campaign is particularly grateful to the following firms for their continued charitable giving: Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell; McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton; Orr & Reno; Rath, Young & Pignatelli; Sheehan, Phinney, Bass + Green; Sulloway & Hollis; Upton & Hatfield; and Wiggin & Nourie. Each of these firms has contributed gifts of $5,000 or more many times over.
The Campaign is particularly grateful to three firms who continue to support the Campaign with Pacesetter level firm gifts of $500 per attorney: Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell; Orr & Reno; and Wiggin & Nourie.
"Orr and Reno has supported the Campaign for Legal Services at the Pacesetter level since the Campaign’s inception," says John A. Malmberg, president. "This financial support is a critical component of our commitment to legal services for the poor, along with the pro bono services provided by our attorneys. We are proud to participate in these efforts to improve access to justice for all in our community."
As the need for legal aid increases and the struggle for resources continues, the Campaign for Legal Services thanks these firms for their continued commitment to legal aid. Their generosity enables increased access to justice in New Hampshire.
