NHBA 2010 Annual Meeting
Smell the flowers, feel the sun, enjoy the breeze... Relax at the 2010 NHBA Annual Meeting at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. You decide - golfing, hiking, biking, or just sitting... It’s up to you.
Banquet News…Check the e-Bulletin for updates on who will be named the recipients of: the William A. Grimes Judicial Professionalism award; the Donald E. Dufresne Award for Outstanding Professionalism; and the Distinguished Service to the Profession award.
The Saturday evening banquet will be the occasion to welcome Marilyn B. McNamara as the 2010-2011 NHBA President, along with a new slate of Board of Governors.
Reservation Deadline – May 25 There’s no time like right now to make your reservations directly with the hotel for the 2010 NHBA Annual Meeting. Activities start with a free lunch and ethics CLE (video replay of the Midyear Meeting program with Egil Krogh) on Friday, June 25. A reception and banquet follow in the evening.
On Saturday, there’s a full day of activities presented for all members by the New Lawyers Committee, including a lively and informative Social Media demo including a discussion of some of the ethical implications of these new media, followed by a ethics replay of the Ethics Game Show CLE from the Midyear Meeting, a networking luncheon (free to Annual Meeting guests at the hotel) and an afternoon volleyball tournament.
Separate banquet tickets for Friday or Saturday night also available.
Find out more about hotel amenities and meeting programs at the Annual Meeting pages.
Saturday: New Lawyers Invite All to Attend Saturday at the Annual Meeting offers a chance to learn about new means of communication in an informal workshop atmosphere led by members of the New Lawyers Committee – this event, though, is meant for all lawyers.
From 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., the New Lawyers’ Committee Social Media workshop will introduce NH lawyers to social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The presentation will review and define the many methods now being used, and may help you decide what may be right for you and your practice. Also to be covered are potential uses of these applications for marketing and research, as well as the ethical issues raised by incorporating these applications into the practice of law.
Moderators - Kelleigh Domaingue Murphy & Jon Strasburger
Ethics Game Show Video Replay Stick around for the NHBA•CLE video replay from 11 to 12 noon, featuring the panel discussion from the Ethics Game Show, originally presented at the Midyear Meeting. This panel focused on a number of ethical issues arising from the game show – including discussions of how blogging, Facebook "friending" and other social media issues intersect with legal ethics.
Lunch and Outside Fun… Join us for lunch and more casual conversation. And in the afternoon, head outside for a volleyball tournament. Team captains Kelleigh D. Murhpy ("Arnold Schwartzenegger" ) and Joshua Pantesco ("the Iceman") are looking for players for their teams: Scared Hitless vs. Motion to Spike. Youl’’ find a place to signup to join one of the teams on the website.
All this…for How Much? For Annual Meeting attendees, this roster of programming is free (but we do ask that you pre-register for the events that interest you.) Or if you are not staying at the Mount Washington, come on up for the day – and pay $25.

You don’t want to miss… The spaaa-aah. Meeting attendees last year raved about this new attraction at the hotel. The ultimate in relaxation and pampering – with a view.
The thrills… Sign up with the hotel for the 3 ½ hour zipline canopy tour. If you love the woods, you’ll see them as you have never seen them. Unforgettable.
The food… They don’t want to brag, but the dining at the Omni Mount Washington Resort’s culinary facilities were given the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator 2009, Distinguished Restaurants of North America (2007-2009) and the AAA-Four Diamond Award. Your room rate includes breakfast, evening Reception and Dinner Banquet (for one person or two).
