NH Attorneys Recognize Peers
ELEVEN OF THE state's attorneys have been recognized by their peers as leaders in their fields of practice in the April issue of Business NH Magazine. The magazine surveyed hundreds of law firm partners in NH asking them to nominate attorneys they believe to be leaders in a variety of fields of law practice.
For the nomination process, attorneys were not allowed to vote for themselves. While they were able to vote for attorneys from their own firms, they also had to vote for an equal or greater number of lawyers from outside their firms, in order for their nominations to count. Nominations of attorneys from outside firms were given more weight than those from inside the same firm.
The result is a collection of lawyers who are proven leaders in their respective fields. While the list is not an exhaustive one and there are many fine attorneys in the state who also deserve recognition, this compilation is representative of attorneys who have gained the respect of their peers.
Those receiving top nominations were:
Bankruptcy Law - Daniel Sklar of Nixon Peabody in Manchester
Business Law - Alan Reische of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green in Manchester
Criminal Law - Cathy J. Green of Green & Utter in Manchester
Environmental Law - John Peltonen of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green in Manchester
Family Law - L. Jonathan Ross of Wiggin and Nourie in Manchester
Intellectual Property Law - Jim Cook of Cook, Little, Rosenblatt and Manson in Manchester
Labor & Employment Law - Andrea Johnstone of Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell in Concord
Litigation - Russell F. Hilliard of Upton and Hatfield in Concord
Lobbying - Christopher Gallagher of Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell in Concord
Real Estate Law - J. Jefferson Davis of Davis & Boghigian in Nashua
Tax, Trusts & Estates - Ruth Ansell of Ansell, Barradale, Newkirk, Anderson & Dwyer in Bedford
