Justice Center Studies Hillsborough Corrections

A new study by the Justice Center of the Council of State Government will track the effectiveness of sentencing alternatives for the mentally ill in Hillsborough County. Hillsborough is one of two counties in the nation chosen for the study.

The Justice Center will examine data on mentally ill inmates within the Hillsborough Department of Corrections, and then will provide advice on improving the criminal justice system for the mentally ill.
