Vincent P. Dunn, a retired Superior Court justice, died recently at his home in Concord. He was 88.
Dunn was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and the Boston University School of Law.
A veteran of World War II, Dunn served in the US Navy aboard a destroyer in the Pacific theater.
Dunn started his career in the financial services sector, working with Lehman Brothers and Kidder Peabody, eventually assisting in the development of the trust department of the Arlington Trust Company. Dunn was appointed NH Banking Commissioner in 1964 by Gov. John King, where he served until 1968.
He opened a general practice in Concord in 1968, where he practiced until his appointment to the Superior Court in 1981.
He loved the arts and humanities and his knowledge of such things was said to be formidable.
