One of the largest banks in New Hampshire recently lowered the interest rate paid on IOLTA accounts, resulting in a projected 20 percent drop in revenues for this vital source of funding for civil legal services and public legal education programs.

As a Bar member participating in the IOLTA program, you can take steps to make sure that funds placed in your IOLTA account do the most good for these public service programs.

The Leadership Banks listed here have created special rates for IOLTA accounts that yield 2 percent or higher. These often exceed the bank’s standard interest rate. These banks also may waive routine service charges. Leadership Banks strongly support the mission of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation and demonstrate a true commitment to community-based banking.
