In Memoriam: Donald P. Ricklefs
Donald Peter Ricklefs, an attorney from Boxford, Mass., passed away recently. He was 66.
Ricklefs graduated from Boston College in 1966 and later received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1969.
He started his career as an associate at Palmer & Dodge in Boston. He worked as a CPA and Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen, also in Boston. In 1980, Ricklefs formed his own law firm, Ricklefs & Company, which merged with Perkins, Smith and Cohen in 2002 and later joined Wolf Block. Although Ricklefs retired in 2009, he maintained a working relationship with several long-term clients and enjoyed mentoring young lawyers.
Ricklefs had served in the Army Reserves from 1969 through 1975. In addition, he served as treasurer for the Boys & Girls Club of Boston.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two children, Liz and John; and his sister, Joan Szoke.
In honor of our colleague Donald P. Ricklefs, the NH Bar Association Board of Governors has made a donation to the NH Bar Foundation, 2 Pillsbury Street, Suite 300, Concord, NH 03301.
