Legal Award Season Underway: Michael Gunnison, Daniel Webster Award

Michael Gunnison, an attorney whose work with the US Attorney’s Office has carried him around the globe, was recently presented with the NHBA INternational Law Section’s Daniel Webster International Lawyer of the Year Award at a recent meeting.
Gunnison was recognized for his dedicated and outstanding efforts over many years to strengthen the rule of law internationally, to promote transparency and accountability in international financial transactions through his anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering efforts in Iraq, the Arabian Gulf and elsewhere, and especially for his recent efforts as Rule of Law Coordinator in the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, where he was a principal advisor to the US Ambassador on a wide range of justice issues.
