The envelope please...Midyear Meeting Honors Pro Bono’s ‘Rising Stars’
A popular component of the Midyear Meeting Honors & Awards luncheon is the recently instituted "Rising Star" designations for outstanding Pro Bono volunteers.
These awards are presented to attorneys who are relatively new to law practice who have made exceptional commitments and demonstrated early excellence in Pro Bono representation and service. The 2012 Pro Bono Rising Stars are:
Jessica Ecker, of the Seacoast law firm of Donahue Tucker & Ciandella, admitted to the NH Bar in 2006;
Kelly Ovitt Puc, of Cornell & Ovitt Puc, in Concord, also admitted in 2006;
Kirk Simoneau, of Nixon, Vogelman, Barry, Slawsky & Simoneau, in Manchester, admitted in 2009.
Still to come…the remaining Pro Bono service awards for 2011, as well as the L. Jonathan Ross Award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services for the Poor, the Vickie M. Bunnell Award for Community Service, the Distinguished Service to the Public Award, and the Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Law Award.
