At a June 14 CLE featuring a nationally recognized speaker on the neuropsychological effects of family life and divorce, NHBA President Jennifer Parent took time to recognize the outgoing Section co-chairs, Margaret Kerouac and Judith Fairclough.
Succeeding them as chair and co-chair, respectively, are Heather Krans and Kysa Crusco. The Section is Bar’s second-largest, with more than 400 members.
Kerouac, who practices in the McLane law firm along with Parent, has been a Family Law Section officer since 2005, moving up to Chair in 2008 upon the untimely passing of Graham Chynoweth.
In addition to her Section duties, Kerouac helped run a special bench/bar rules discussion group in collaboration with then-Family Division Administrative Judge Edwin Kelly.
Judith Fairclough, chair of the family law practice group at Orr & Reno, has been in Section leadership since 2007, serving as vice chair and then co-chair from 2008 to the current year.
Under their leadership, the Section organized special events such as a social event honoring the Section’s 25th anniversary and the section’s founders, Rob Howard and Honey Hastings.
