In Memoriam: Roland E. Morneau, Jr.
Roland E. Morneau, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was 69 years old.
He was raised in the Berlin area and graduated from Notre Dame High School. He served in the US Navy as Lieutenant before going to Colby College. Roland graduated from Boston College School of Law, cum laude, in 1972.
Roland was involved in several committees through the NH Bar Association such as the Client Indemnity Fund Committee, Fee Dispute Resolution Committee and the Public Protection Fund Committee, the latter of which earned him the Distinguished Service Award in 2012 for his thirteen years of dedication and efforts.
He served as a member of the Londonderry Planning Board and was a proud member of the AMC 4000 Club for successfully climbing all of the 4,000 foot peaks in New Hampshire.
Roland leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Janet Morneau; a daughter, Tracey Gamache and grandchild, Alex Gamache; a brother, Denis Morneau and sister, Suzanne Francisco.
