Recognition for Pro Bono’s DOVE Coordinator
Pam Dodge | Pamela Dodge, the coordinator of the NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program’s Domestic Violence Emergency (DOVE) Project will be honored for her efforts in the field by the state’s leading domestic violence prevention organization.
The NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence has selected Dodge to join its Coalition Hall of Fame at an Oct. 29 luncheon – a fitting end to the first Pro Bono Month celebrated by the NH Bar. Dodge has worked for the NHBA Pro Bono program since 1997 and has served as coordinator for DOVE since 2001. Her expertise and dedication earlier was recognized when she was selected in 2010 to serve on a national panel to evaluate and promote best practices for lawyers assisting self-represented victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, with civil protection cases.
The DOVE Project, working closely with regional domestic violence service organizations, matches eligible low-income clients with free legal representation by volunteer attorneys trained by Pro Bono. These attorneys provide limited-scope representation of clients at final domestic violence restraining order hearings and other court hearings under NH’s domestic violence protection law.
For more information about DOVE or to join the panel of volunteer attorneys, contact Dodge.
