Lawyers Not the Most Hated Anymore
Annually, the Gallup Poll surveys Americans, asking them to classify their perceptions of industry groups as either positive, negative or neutral. In the most recent survey conducted this past summer, the legal field ranked 18th among 25 industry groups in popularity.
The economic downturn and other factor may have led to other fields falling below the legal field as it now ranks ahead of the federal government, public utilities, banking and real estate.

The legal field’s 18 rating was based on 34 percent of respondents giving it a positive rating and 37 percent negative, with the remaining 25 percent neutral. That was definitely an improvement from its 29 percent positive/45 percent negative ratings in the 2011 survey.
