In Memoriam: Jack Capelas


Jack Capelas
Jack Capelas passed away Dec. 21, 2012, at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 50.

After obtaining degrees from Salem State College and the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center), Jack worked as a child advocacy attorney dedicated to defending the rights of children and parents involved with the NH Division for Children, Youth and Families. Before going into private practice, he was a supervisor for the Strafford County CASA of New Hampshire.

Jack is survived by his life partner, Linda Schwartz, and his sisters, Rosa, Irene and Philly.

In honor of our colleague Jack Capelas, the NH Bar Association Board of Governors has donated to the NH Bar Foundation, 2 Pillsbury Street, Suite 300, Concord, NH 03301.
