Bar News - August 16, 2002 Correction In a profile of 50-year Bar member Bartram C. Branch in the July 26, 2002 issue of Bar News, it was incorrectly reported that "Clean" Gene McCarthy defeated incumbent President Lyndon B. Johnson in the 1968 New Hampshire primary. Although he did not defeat Johnson in the primary, McCarthy's strong showing did indeed contribute to Johnson's decision not to pursue re-election. |
