WANTED: Test Drivers: How Can We Turbo-Charge Your Legal Research?
The New Hampshire Bar Association provides all of its members with access to an online legal research resource called Casemaker. The association’s contract with Casemaker is currently up for renewal, and the association is investigating how to optimize this key member benefit. What’s the best way to turbo-charge the research capabilities of NH Bar members?
Live demonstrations by Casemaker and a similar – but different – service are coming up.
The Bar Association will continue to offer an online case law library, but we are seeking member input on Casemaker and this similar service, Fastcase.
Bar members are invited to attend live demonstrations from both providers on successive Wednesdays – Sept. 25 and Oct. 2. Bring your laptop, eat pizza, and test drive both services. (No charge, no CLE credit.)
Casemaker: Presenter Jim Corbett, a legal research expert and Casemaker’s marketing director, will be at the NH Bar Center from 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25
Fastcase: Presenter Phil Rosenthal, CEO of Fastcase, will be at the Bar Center from 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Bar members who can’t attend the evening demonstration events will have other options to connect with these presenters and learn about both services via videoconference.
Additionally, the bar association has set up presentations in Portsmouth, Newport, Nashua and Laconia. Watch your email or Bar Association pages on social media for more.
