The first paragraph of the article on the Legal Administrators' salary Survey, published in the Sept. 6, 2002 Bar News, incorrectly stated that median salaries for associate attorneys declined from $59,500 in 2001 to $58,000 in 2002. The survey does not make year-to-year comparisons and all of the figures refer to current salaries. The figure of $59,500 refers to the median salary for associates in responding firms who were hired in 2001, and $58,000 refers to the median salaries paid to associates hired in 2002.
