Bar News - October 4, 2002 Morning Mail - A Salute to Bar Members in Uniform
At the suggestion of Member Records Coordinator Anna O’Neill, the NHBA staff sent the following letter to all members of the Bar on active duty in the military on Sept. 11, 2002. Dear NHBA Member on Active Duty: We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your service to our country and to each one of us. Some in our country may not realize the sacrifices you make to do your job, but many do and have even been in your shoes at one time. THANK YOU!! Several Bar members responded: Please convey my thanks to those who sent thanks to military members on 11 Sep 02. It’s ever so nice to know New Hampshire supports its own! I know a number of NH military lawyers, and they are all actively involved in America’s response to the outrage perpetrated on our citizens. New Hampshirites can be proud, I assure you! We will prevail. Tom Tudor, GS-15, DAC Dear Anna: Please let everyone at the NHBA know that I was very moved by the note I received today as a Bar member currently on active duty. I am not in harm’s way down here at Camp Lejeune, but I am honored to be counted among all those back in uniform at this time. I thank all of you who shared your thanks and warm wishes.
