Portsmouth Judge Taylor Retires from the Bench
Alvin E. Taylor, presiding judge of the Portsmouth District Court, has retired from the bench, though he will continue in private practice. Taylor, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 last month, had served as special justice and presiding justice for 33 years. Taylor will be profiled in the next issue of Bar News.
There has been no indication from the governor’s office whether or when the judgeship will be filled.
