Bar News - December 19, 2008 Campaign for Legal Services Update On Dec. 2 and 4, volunteers made fundraising phone calls on behalf of the Campaign for Legal Services – the combined campaign that raises funds for NH Legal Assistance, the NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program and the Legal Advice & Referral Center. The December Telethon took place on Dec. 2 at the offices of Wiggin & Nourie in Manchester, and on Dec. 4 in Concord at Brown, Olson & Gould. At this writing, $10,200 has been raised from the Telethon and $121,000 overall in 2008 form the legal community across the state, although the total will likely go higher as some attorneys who were contacted pledged to give before the end of the year but did not commit an amount. Volunteers making calls included: from Wiggin & Nourie: Jennifer Turco Beaudet, Elizabeth Leonard, Gina Norris, and Luke Webster; from Brown, Olson & Gould: Philip Braley, David Shulock, David Wiesner, and Peter Brown; from Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell: John Funk, and Donald Gartrell; Andrea Johnstone of Bernstein Shur; Jaye Rancourt of Brennan , Caron, Lenehan & Iacopino; Raymond Foss, sole practitioner; James Barney of Sulloway & Hollis; and Vera Buck of Orr & Reno.
