On the eve of the Midyear Meeting, the Board convened again. At the Feb. 3 meeting, the Board dealt with a shortened agenda that included review of additional bills and proposed constitutional amendments, and was highlighted by presentations of service projects by three teams of Leadership Academy participants.
Members of the Leadership Academy (LA) are working on a series of projects to be launched this year. Divided into three teams, the LA participants are developing projects that use their legal skills and their creativity to develop projects that will benefit the public and the legal community. The teams presented their project proposals to the Board at the Feb. 3 meeting and answered questions about how they will execute and fund (if necessary) their projects. The projects will be discussed in greater detail in upcoming issues of the Bar News.
The Leadership Academy educational sessions will continue through May, with legislative, executive branch, media (rescheduled due to snow), and business modules coming up. There will be formal presentations on the projects at the NH Bar Foundation Annual Dinner on May 5.
