Scenes from the NHBA Leadership Academy Retreat
Following on last year’s success, the NHBA Leadership Academy kicked off last month with the Class of 2012 receiving a double-dose of networking and training.
The opening event was a reception which brought together last year’s class with the 12 members of the Class of 2012. The reception enabled the participants to meet each other in a casual atmosphere and to learn about the potential impact of the next nine months of their lives from last year’s alumni.
The following week, the yearlong program began in earnest with a two-day retreat at Loon Mountain. National speaker Michael Brandwein led leadership training sessions that covered everything from working a room and maintaining open communication, to dealing with difficult people and managing time effectively.
Participants also began discussing service projects they will complete during the year.
In coming months, the Class of 2012 will meet monthly for half-day educational sessions. Look for ongoing coverage of the NHBA Leadership Academy.
